New York City. The capital of street art.
Street art is NYC’s best known form of expression, and that’s been true for decades. That in mind, it makes sense that NY-based artists would turn to public art during these strange times to shed light into the window of our current reality.
Throughout the five boroughs, artists have been tagging walls, empty storefronts, and sign posts with everything from massive murals to graphic posters and even complete sculptures! Here’s a look at some of our favorites that New Yorkers are coming across on their walks around town.
