Mrs. Doubtfire is making her way to Broadway this spring, and we’re ecstatic!
The classic film is a family favorite and one of Robin Williams’ best roles. Now, the comedy is hitting the stage as a musical adaptation. Mrs. Doubtfire The Musical will follow the story of the original film, of a divorced actor who has limited access to his kids and devises a plan to dress as an old British nanny to spend more time with them.
Tony nominated actor Rob McClure will play the leading role of Daniel (Mrs. Doubtfire), and will be joined by Jenn Gambatese playing Miranda Hillard, Analise Scarpaci as Lydia Hillard, Jake Ryan Flynn as Christopher Hillard, and Brad Oscar as Frank Hillard.
The musical had its world premiere in Seattle at the 5th Avenue Theatre for a brief time (from November 26 to January 4), and now, Mrs. Doubtfire The Musical is on its way to Broadway with previews beginning on March 9 and an opening date of April 5!
