Taylor Swift sings more than just about her exes, guys–she also often sings about New York City! I mean, she does have a song titled Welcome To New York after all. And new data has analyzed each of the NYC landmarks featured in Swift’s music to find the most Instagrammed ones, and we’re sharing them with you!
Westgate New York Grand Central Hotel took note of all the NYC landmarks Swift sings about in her songs and then analyzed the number of posts each landmark has been tagged in to determine the top ten most “Instagrammable” locations, and Coney Island topped the list!
Yes, Brooklyn’s very own Coney Island has been crowned the most “Instagrammable” NYC spot featured in Swift’s music, raking in a total of 1,738,566 posts.
On Swift’s album Evermore, a song actually dubbed Coney Island is on the track list in which Swift sings about “sitting on a bench in Coney Island wondering where did [her] baby go.”
The High Line takes the second spot, raking in over 230,000 posts.
This urban space on Manhattan’s west side in an old railway-turned-elevated-park and is featured in Swift’s song Cardigan on the album Folklore.
Even Olive Garden made the list, albeit (understandably) at the very bottom in the 10th spot on the ranking.
In Evermore’s No Body, No Crime, Swift weaves a mysterious story of a housewife’s murder, which remains hidden until her friend doesn’t turn up to their usual Olive Garden outing.
The full ranking is as follows:
1. Coney Island – 1,738,566 posts
2. High Line – 230,233 posts
3. Madison Square – 47,589 posts
4. Cornelia Street – 44,876 posts
