Most Beautiful New Restaurants in America of 2025
Huso, TriBeCa

What began as an intimate tasting counter inside Marky’s Caviar on Madison Avenue in 2019 has since expanded into a larger TriBeCa space beloved for its contemporary tasting menus centered on technique, seasonality, and a deep attention to detail.
Under Executive Chef Buddha Lo and his team, Huso is serving a menu that balances creativity with restraint that New Yorkers cannot get enough of–and its Michelin star, Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence, and recognition as one of Robb Report’s 10 Best New Restaurants in America prove it! Robb Report wrote:
The dining space at…Huso…is a serene oasis. Here, oak, cream, and gray hues come together for a sophisticated atmosphere, one that is complemented by dark-blue tones on the banquettes and curved corners for a touch of softness…It’s a warm space, one that makes you feel welcome the second you walk through Huso’s doors.

📍 323A Greenwich Street
ABC Kitchens, DUMBO

Jean-Georges claimed space in Brooklyn for the first time ever with the opening of ABC Kitchens, and he brought antique chandeliers , pink lava stone and rose quartz, and an abundance of blooms with him!
Located across from the historic Jane’s Carousel on the iconic Dumbo waterfront, the restaurant unifies Jean-Georges’ celebrated New York ‘trilogy’ all under one roof–the best of ABC Kitchens’ approach to farm-fresh fare, abcV’s innovative plant-based dishes, and ABC Cocina’s global flavors. Robb Report writes of the space:
ABC Kitchens pays homage to its home borough with two stone walls, made from slabs leftover from the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. Diners can also enjoy a mix of vintage and modern furniture, as well as a bold stained-glass window inspired by the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami.

📍 55 Water Street
Musaafer NYC, TriBeCa

Nestled in the heart of TriBeCa, Musaafer NYC is the second location of the lauded Michelin-starred restaurant hailing from Houston, Texas. Named after the Hindi and Urdu word for “traveler,” Musaafer is a love letter to India, inspired by Chef Mayank’s 100-day journey across all 29 states–where regional recipes, stories, and traditions were gathered and transformed into an inventive, globe-trotting menu.
The space is just as transportive, blending reimagined Indian architecture (yes, Taj Mahal vibes) with three distinct experiences: an elegant dining room, a Silk Road-inspired tasting menu, and the moody, subterranean Saaqi bar. From mirrored “House of Mirrors” private rooms to its bold redefinition of Indian fine dining, Musaafer brings serious drama, opulence, and wanderlust to NYC.

📍 133 Duane Street
Obvio, Nomad

Obvio is not your grandma’s supper club–it’s a sultry, cinematic cocktail lounge where every last detail was obsessively designed by founder Juan Santa Cruz, from the giraffe silk brocade walls (inspired by a napkin sketch in Kenya) to the Blade Runner-esque amber glow.
By day it’s an elevated dinner-and-cocktails affair with imaginative cuisine and showstopping drinks, and by night it morphs into a neo-noir playground complete with DJs and dancing. Think: classic New York night out energy, but moodier, sexier, and way more extra.

📍 3 E 28th Street
Limusina, Midtown

The team behind some of New York’s most loved restaurants recently opened Limusina, a high-energy, 225-seat Mexican restaurant with bold flavors and celebratory vibes. Inspired by the various regions of Mexico, along with Cal and Tex-Mex touches, the menu features all the signature aspects of a Quality Branded restaurant–think: cheeky high-low takes on classics, tableside presentations, and creative and colorful cocktails.
Once we heard the space was designed by GRT Architects–the ones behind stunning NYC spots like Don Angie, San Sabino, and Cucina Alba–we just knew it would be gorg. Robb Report writes:
Gold, peach, and red are the stars of the show here; the hues are in everything from the drapery to the striking chandeliers to the maximalist bar, complete with floating marble slabs. The dalliance of texture and those vibrant colors is what makes the spot a standout, one that captures diners’ attention the moment they walk in—and keeps it throughout their meal, too.

📍 441 9th Avenue
Yamada, Chinatown

Japandi style–a mix of Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics–has been a large presence in the design world as of late. So it’s no surprise that you can find it at Yamada, a Michelin starred Japanese hideaway in Chinatown that has also had a large presence in the world as of late–it’s been recognized by the New York Times as being home to one of the best desserts in the U.S. and was named one of NYC’s best new restaurants of 2025.
Robb Report notes of the design:
Yamada…perfects that blend of wabi-sabi (beauty in simplicity) and hygge (comfort and coziness), making for a warm, welcoming retreat. The Michelin-starred locale uses its chef counter as a focal point, which made from a single slab of the Japanese cypress Hinoki in a soft brown. Partitions in the space were crafted using a traditional Japanese technique called Kumiko woodworking, alongside custom plateware from ceramicist Shinobu Habauchi dotting the 10-seat counter.

📍 16 Elizabeth Street
Cafe Zaffri, Union Square

Cafe Zaffri, beloved enough to simply go by “Zaf’s,” is the third culinary venture from the renowned team behind NYC staples Raf’s and The Musket Room. Located inside The Twenty Two New York–a luxury hotel and private members’ club–the restaurant serves modern interpretations on Levantine cuisine and its vibrant culinary heritage.
The sprawling space is split into two distinct dining rooms, one open and sun-soaked, alongside its darker, moodier counterpart. Robb Report writes:
Alexy Kos and Che Huang of Child Studio transformed this dining room into a vibrant oasis…Cafe Zaffri brings rich, architectural heritage into the modern day. The atrium bathes the interior in sunlight, while fun wallpaper, warm millwork, and an abundance of texture pay homage to the past. It’s decor with a real point of view.
