A monstrous art exhibit has taken over Brookfield Place in FiDi, just in time for Halloween.
Luckily it’s more bright and colorful than dark and spooky!
The brand new inflatable sculpture, which is on display for one week only (Oct. 24-31), is perfectly named “Monster.” Created by New York-based artists Tin&Ed, Monster, is suspended high among the palm trees in the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place.
Measuring over 20 feet high by 25 feet wide, Monster was inspired by carnivorous and parasitic plants and fungi! Made of fireproof ripstop nylon, the creation was sculpted using 3D software and is quite the sight to behold.
The installation also includes a specially-designed Instagram filter, so visitors can stay safe while becoming an active part of the exhibit themselves.
And from now through Halloween (Saturday, October 31), if you head there to see it in person be sure to snap a selfie or photo with Monster and post it on social tagging @BFPLNY. Once you do, you’ll be able to pick up some treats and candy at the concierge desk!
