The official Money Heist: The Experience from Netflix and Fever is finally here in NYC — and we got to experience it for ourselves firsthand.
In this brand new event based on the Netflix hit series Money Heist (or La casa de papel), fans will put their heist skills to the test as they join The Professor’s gang in their newest mission…their first-ever international heist! Trust us, you don’t want to miss it.
On this heart-pounding adventure, you’ll actually be able to live out the robbery of a history bank vault in person. And you’ll even get to don the famous red jumpsuits!
Now, we don’t want to give too much away since that’s all part of of surprise of the experience, but here’s a sneak peek of what to expect.
First off, location:
The infamous “Money Heist” gang revealed their chosen target as the landmarked skyscraper and bank hall Skylight One Hanson, formerly the Williamsburg Savings Bank Clocktower. Will you join them?
The fully immersive experience is held in the vast, cathedral-like space with 63-foot vaulted ceilings, 40-foot windows, elaborate mosaics and marble arches.
At 512 feet, the Williamsburg Savings Bank Clocktower was constructed in a modernized Byzantine-Romanesque style and was once the tallest structure between Manhattan and Paris. Built in the 1920s, the outer-building is capped by a gold dome and boasts a four-sided clock face.
It’s no wonder that the Professor chose this iconic building for his latest mission, which will put your heisting skills to the test!
Now, as for the experience:
Thanks to incredible actors moving with you throughout the experience, you’ll get to become a member of the notorious gang and work with them to take over the historic Brooklyn location.
As you move through the clocktower and bank, you’ll have to solve puzzles in each room, eventually hacking the security system — and, if you do it right, breaking into the hundred-year-old vault and getting some gold!
But be careful, you might get taken hostage along the way…
Here are our favorite elements — and why we highly recommend this experience to New Yorkers!
💰 SO realistic…like actually— feels like you’re really in the middle of a heist gone wrong, thanks to the amazing props and extremely talented actors. Sometimes we seriously couldn’t tell who was in on it, and who was just a guest! My heart definitely couldn’t stop racing, even though I knew it wasn’t real…
💰 Challenging puzzles and games — this experience is very interactive. It’s so fun to work with your group to solve the way to get out of each room — if you like solving mysteries and figuring out clues…this is perfect for you.
💰 All the show references — if you’re a fan of Money Heist/La casa de papel, you’ve got to check this out. It works just as well if you haven’t seen it (I hadn’t and I still had a blast), but knowing all the characters, references and storylines will definitely take it up a notch — or at the least excite big fans.
💰 After-show drinks — Once you’ve successfully completed the heist, you’ll be able to kick back with a drink at the Money Heist-themed bar and get themed merch from the show.
💰 Oh, and don’t forget the killer photo ops!
