Urbanspace—known for its stellar food halls on Vanderbilt and Lexington, as well as stalls in the Union Square and Columbus Circle Holiday Markets—is opening its fourth Manhattan food hall on 52nd St. tomorrow morning.
This location will have 15 delicious vendors, with some New York staples and some mom-and-pop newcomers. This is also its first “Green New Market,” a new initiative aimed at being more environmentally-conscious, including many more reusable and compostable items.
The hall will also have a digester on site with a live-feed that displays how much water, waste and energy are used (and saved) every single day.
It will be open (as of tomorrow, January 8) from Monday-Saturday from 6am-10pm and Sundays from 7am-7pm.
As stated in a press release, the vendors include:
-
Coney Shack, a Southeast-Asian eatery featuring innovative takes on tacos and hot dogs.
-
Eisenberg’s, a beloved Jewish-style sandwich shop offering classic NYC deli sandwiches, milkshakes, egg creams, and breakfast. This is Eisenberg’s very first off-shoot.
-
Go Fish, a sushi counter offering both grab-and-go and made-to-order options, including rolls and hosomaki, sashimi, nigiri, and chirashi sushi by Bond St’s Chef Marc Spitzer.
-
Lolo’s Chicken Shack, a Harlem favorite Caribbean spot dishing out nostalgic island-style BBQ and coastal comfort foods. This is Lolo’s very first off-shoot.
-
Roberta’s, a Bushwick based cult-following restaurant offering their classic wood oven New York pizza with innovative flavor fusions, one of Urbanspace’s longest-tenured vendors.
-
Seamore’s, a much-loved NYC seafood oasis, will be operating a full bar on both the main level and the mezzanine
The space is 11,500 square feet. Looks like lunch options in Midtown just got a whole lot better!
