Memorial Day Weekend is only a few days away and Monday’s holiday will see plenty of festivities happening around NYC, and a public holiday with many places closed.
Including plenty of Memorial Day Parades, which will honor those who served across the city’s five boroughs with lovely celebrations!
We’ve highlighted all the parades happening this weekend, and what roads will be closed as a result, so you can catch the festivities or plan your travel accordingly!
Fifth Avenue Memorial Day Parade (Manhattan)
- Time: 10 am
- Route: Fifth Avenue from 23rd Street to 67th Street
- ⚠️ Roads Closed: Fifth Avenue from 23rd Street to 67th Street will be closed from 8 am – 2 pm ⚠️
158th Annual Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade (Bay Ridge, Brooklyn)
- Time: 11 am
- Route: Starts at 78th Street & 3rd Avenue, proceeds down 3rd Avenue to Marine Avenue, up 4th Avenue, and ends at John Paul Jones Park.
- ⚠️ Street Closures: 3rd Avenue, Marine Avenue, and 4th Avenue along the parade route will be closed during the event ⚠️
36th Annual Laurelton Memorial Day Parade (Queens)
- Time: 9 am
- Route: Merrick and Francis Lewis Boulevards, ending at the Veteran Memorial Triangle at 225th Street
- ⚠️ Street Closures: Merrick Boulevard between Francis Lewis Boulevard and Springfield Boulevard, and 225th Street between Merrick Boulevard and North Conduit Avenue ⚠️
Little Neck–Douglaston Memorial Day Parade (Queens)
- Time: 2 pm
- Route: Begins at Jayson Avenue and Northern Boulevard.
- ⚠️ Street Closures: Northern Boulevard and adjacent streets in Little Neck and Douglaston will be closed during the parade. ⚠️
Woodside Memorial Day Parade (Queens)
- Time: 11 am
- Route: Starts at St. Sebastian Church, proceeds to the Vietnam Memorial at 57th Street and Woodside Avenue, then to Roosevelt Avenue and 61st Street, and ends at Doughboy Park at Woodside Avenue and 54th Street.
- ⚠️ Street Closures: Woodside Avenue and surrounding streets along the parade route will be closed during the event. ⚠️
Rockaway Memorial Day Parade (Queens)
- Time: Following a 10:30 am mass
- Route: Starts at St. Francis de Sales Church, proceeds north on Beach 120th Street to the Boardwalk, then to Doughboy and Doughgirl Monuments at Beach 95th Street.
- ⚠️ Street Closures: Beach 120th Street, the Boardwalk, and Beach 95th Street will be closed during the parade. ⚠️
Ridgewood/Glendale Memorial Day Parade (Queens)
- Time: 11 am
- Route: Starts at Glendale Memorial Triangle at Cooper Avenue, proceeds along Myrtle Avenue, and ends at Ridgewood Veterans Triangle at Cypress Avenue.
- ⚠️ Street Closures: Myrtle Avenue and adjacent streets along the parade route will be closed during the event. ⚠️
Van Nest Memorial Day Parade (The Bronx)
- Time: 12 pm
- Route: Van Nest Memorial Plaza
- ⚠️ Street Closures: Local streets near the plaza will be closed during the parade. ⚠️
Staten Island Memorial Day Parade (Staten Island)
- Time: 12:00 pm
- Route: Starts at Forest Avenue & Hart Boulevard.
- ⚠️ Street Closures: Forest Avenue and surrounding streets along the parade route will be closed during the event. ⚠️
