Once all the ice has melted away, the Wollman Rink in Central Park becomes the perfect space for an amusement park to set up shop—specifically, the Victorian Gardens Amusement Park.
Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink will return in just a few short months bringing rides and entertainment to Central Park throughout the warmer seasons. New Yorkers and visitors alike will be able to funnel into the 50,000-square-foot space beginning May 23 to ride things like the “Rainbowheel,” “Grand Prix” two-seater race cars, “Kite Flyer,” “Family Swinger,” and “Big Foot” mini-monster trucks.
Although most rides are designed for kids, they can also accommodate adults along with the several games available to play for prizes, like the standard “Whac-A-Mole” and “Ring Toss.” Victorian Gardens has also been known to host adult events in previous years, like singles nights, burlesque shows, and themed-parties.
Currently, the amusement park is set to stick around until September 13. For hours and tickets check out their site, here.
