The brothers behind well-known Reichenbach Hall, Willy and Keith Reichenbach, have recently opened NYC’s largest all-American beer hall in midtown — American Hall.
Located at 29 West 36th Street, the three-story venue is not only a beer hall, but also a restaurant and bar arcade! The massive space opened their doors in September and can seat up to 600 people ( which is three times as many as their nearby German beer hall!).
The restaurant and bar will focus primarily on American favorites, but takes the theme up a notch with over-the-top menu items like PB&J wings, and cocktails that include ingredients like barbecue sauce. Food options include a Gril’D Cheese and Meatloaf sandwich, Butcher Balls meatballs, wings smothered in any sauce of your choosing, and the classics like bacon mac and cheese, burgers, and barbecue ribs.
When it comes to drinks you’ll find American beers on draft, but the cocktails are certainly the most interesting. There’s a “Caramel Apple Pie” craft cocktail on offer that include tequila, butterscotch schnapps, apple cider, and lemon juice. There’s also a “Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ” which is made with bourbon, jack honey, shock-top citrus ale, and BBQ sauce, or the “Jeffersonian” which is made with bourbon, maple syrup, and angostura bitters.
The barcade area of the new venue features classic video games in addition to the more traditional bar games of pool and foosball. Guests can play classic video games in addition to the more traditional bar games of pool and foosball.
American Hall is open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Monday through Wednesday, and until 1 a.m. from Thursday through Saturday. They are closed on Sundays.
