Fall is creeping up on us! And parts of NY are already transitioning into cozy season.
And this year, it will be easier than ever to tell when the leaves will be changing. I <3 NY has brought back their annual Fall Foliage Report and released their seventh one of the season.
The detailed map includes findings from field observers and reflect expected color conditions for the coming weekend. Plus, you can see which regions are the perfect places to travel to for a lovely fall getaway.
This is the report from October 20-26, which shows that most of the state is already experiencing peak (and even past peak!) color changes. Colorful peak foliage can be found throughout most of the Capital-Saratoga and Thousand Island-Seaway regions this weekend, along with parts of the Hudson Valley, Chautauqua-Allegheny, Greater Niagara, Finger Lakes, Adirondacks, Catskills, and Central New York. Check back on Wednesdays to see updates.
NYC is still at “just changing,” but with parts of Long Island and Westchester at their mid-point, we’re next!! We personally can’t wait until we’re at that perfect peak red:
You can also get weekly fall foliage updates sent right to you on their website here.
