The city that never sleeps, inevitably naps.
This week, the mattress company Casper decided to change the game by opening a nap store in Greenwich Village.
The Dreamery invites New Yorkers to recharge during their hectic day by catching some z’s in one of the private “Casper Nooks” (napping pods) provided. For $25 you can take a 45-minute nap, the ideal amount of time to rest without waking up groggy. When the time is up you won’t be woken up by some obnoxious alarm, but instead by automatic lights within the pod that will gradually get brighter—kind of like waking up to the sun rising.
After your nap session you can help yourself to free coffee before going about the rest of your day.
This space is the second wellness center offering naps in the city, with the first being Nap York in Midtown.
