Ok, so hear us out: if you still haven’t booked this year’s summer holiday destination, why not go to the beautiful, sunny capital of Spain?
Mad Cool is Madrid’s biggest music festival and although it’s relatively young compared to other festivals around the world, its already managed to garner a reputation for delivering one of the most diverse, talented line-ups out there.
What makes it stand out from the rest is the eclectic mix of genres that you’ll find inside, this year includes big names within the rock, indie, electronic and R&B music scene. So whether you like Bon Iver, The Cure, The 1975, Disclosure or Rosalía, there’s truly something out there for everyone to dance to.
Taking place from July 11th-13th, this is the perfect opportunity to plan that trip abroad that you’ve desperately been craving. Expect sunny weather, cheap beer, flea markets, tapas and an incredible ambience filled with people from all over the world. Transport back to the city from the festival grounds, IFEMA, has been made super-duper easy with free public transport from 1:30am – 5:30am. The other piece of good news is that acts don’t come on until after 6pm, which means you literally have the whole day to explore what Madrid has to offer and still make it on time for your fave!
Oh, and there’s a ferris wheel too…Coachella who?
