From the annual L.E.A.F. Flower Show in the Meatpacking District (that unfortunately didn’t return last year) to the incredible New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show, NYC is no stranger to flower exhibitions.
And one of the best parts about the beginning of spring is another fabulous example: the decadent flower exhibition that Macy’s holds every year. It bloomed again this spring on Sunday, March 24 and will run through Sunday, April 7th at Macy’s flagship store at Herald Square.
If you’re a flower lover you’ll be absolutely speechless with the gorgeous display of various flowers at this festival. “The iconic floral spring tradition has enchanted generations of fans with themed gardens that showcase thousands of live flowers, plants, and trees from around the globe for more than four decades.”
This year, the colorful showcase is in partnership with Dior—a busy year for the French luxury house who also partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue during the holidays. Their iconic Miss Dior perfume is the show’s focal point, with The Miss Dior: From Flower to Fragrance installation, that starts in a field of roses, which is open through May 12, 2024.
The 49th annual event “will engage and inspire the senses,” shares the press release. Guests can revel in the beautiful views of flower arrangements taking over the store’s main floor, balcony level, and world-renowned windows. Their decades of shows have inspired jaw-dropping creations, and this year you can expect everything from a tunnel of florals to blooming strawberries, kaleidoscope displays and more!
“The Macy’s Flower Show places the colors, scents and sights of spring centerstage, transporting guests to an immersive and vibrant floral experience,” shared Will Coss, executive producer, Macy’s Flower Show. “As we celebrate the start of the spring season, thousands of unique flowers, plants, and trees will bloom throughout the store in unison.”
The show operates during regular store hours. Best part? Entry is completely free, so next time you’re shopping around Macy’s, pop in to the flower show and smell the roses!
