Spring in NYC would be incomplete without a trip to the Macy’s Flower Show. And fortunately, the wait for the seasonal extravaganza is nearly over.
In a few weeks, the Herald Square department store will transform into a vibrant display of “surrealist gardens, drifting cloudscapes, and vibrant vistas,” all in honor of the show’s golden anniversary. To ring in 50 years, it will be extended to three weeks and offer the first-ever Macy’s Bouquet of Deals.
“We believe in bringing events to life in our stores and this year’s 50th Macy’s Flower Show is a breathtaking example of that commitment,” said Sharon Otterman, Macy’s chief marketing officer. “We create spectacular experiences throughout the year and transform our iconic Herald Square flagship into an immersive destination that inspires and delights.”
Ready to see what’s blooming?
When is the Macy’s Flower Show?
Macy’s Flower Show will run from Sunday, April 27th to Sunday, May 11th. Throughout the display’s three-week stay, you can expect plenty of fun happenings along the way, including:
- Honey Flower Strawberro Cup Tastings (various dates)
- Build-a-Bloom: a LEGO® build event from 11am-2pm on April 27th
- The Bouqs Co. bouquet giveaway on May 3rd
What is this year’s theme?
Every year, the Macy’s Flower Show coincides with a particular brand or theme to bring the store to life, and 2025 promises to be a treat.
This year, visitors can expect “YSL BEAUTY ART OF FLOWERS,” which “reflects the freedom and transformation found in nature, and the inherent beauty in living freely.” Additionally, there will be immersive experiences from LEGO and Holland America Line. Even if you can’t board a plane to the Netherlands tulip fields, you can get a taste of it here in NYC!
How much is the event?
The Macy’s Flower Show is free and open to the public during store hours.
