From the annual L.E.A.F. Flower Show in the Meatpacking District to the return of New York Botanical Garden’s Orchid Show, NYC is no stranger to flower exhibitions.
And one of the best parts about the beginning of spring is another fabulous example: the decadent flower exhibition that Macy’s holds every year. It bloomed again this spring on Sunday, March 26 and will run through Monday, April 10 at Macy’s flagship store at Herald Square.
If you’re a flower lover you’ll be absolutely speechless with the gorgeous display of various flowers at this festival. “The iconic floral spring tradition has enchanted generations of fans with themed gardens that showcase thousands of live flowers, plants, and trees from around the globe for more than four decades.”
This year, the colorful showcase is “staged in distinct fashion with playful, whimsical displays featuring several gravity-defying elements.”
It’s in partnership with Dior, featuring a “scent-sational installation” on the department store’s balcony level. Visitors can walk through floral fields to learn about Dior’s sustainable practices responsible for making the brand’s iconic fragrances.
The 48th annual event is a multi-sensory experience, better described as a “dreamscape of fluffy clouds and whimsical floral landscapes,” shares the press release.
Revel in the beautiful views of flower arrangements taking over the store’s main floor, balcony level, and world-renowned windows.
The show operates during regular store hours. Best part? Entry is completely free, so next time you’re shopping around Macy’s, pop in to the flower show and smell the roses!
