Spring has officially arrived in the Hudson Valley, and while NYC’s parks are blooming, there’s a hidden floral wonderland waiting just 40 minutes away.
For two days only, the historic Lyndhurst Mansion is shedding its moody Gothic atmosphere and transforming into a “Flower House”–a kaleidoscope of thousands of fresh blooms taking over every single room of the Gilded Age estate.

🌸 What To Expect: A Floral Takeover
Unlike a traditional museum tour, Flower House is one of the only times you can “roam-on-your-own” through three floors of the mansion at your own pace. This year’s event is bigger than ever, featuring:
- 20+ Floral Designers: Every room–from the grand library to the ornate bedrooms–has been reimagined by a different floral artist (including names like Azuré Keahi and Hops Petunia) to harmonize with the mansion’s original 19th-century decor
- The Flower House Market: A massive courtyard pavilion featuring 40+ vendors selling botanical home decor, seasonal gourmet foods, and garden antiques
- The 1894 Bowling Alley: Down the hill (don’t worry, there’s a shuttle!), the historic bowling alley pavilion will be adorned with stunning arrangements and host a pop-up café

🍷 Bites, Brews, & Family Fun
It isn’t just about the blooms; it’s a full-day experience.
- The Food Scene: Grab a lobster roll from The Oyster Party, a signature burger from Captain Lawrence Brewing, or a glass from the Manor Sangria vintage truck
- The Honey Bee Flower Truck: Find this retro set of wheels near the Rose Cottage to build your own spring bouquet
- For the Kids: Keep the little ones entertained with whimsical face painting, puppet shows, and storytelling by Modern Marionette (performances at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm both days)
