Lullaby is whipping up the latest cocktail experience heading to the LES. Officially opening to the public March 10, the new laissez-fare bar comes from partners Harrison Snow and Jake Hodas.
The duo was set on creating an environment for people to enjoy world-class cocktails without all the fuss. Their menu echoes this sentiment with their instructions to “just drink it and shut up.” Imagine top-tier cocktails meets dive bar atmosphere.
“With Lullaby, we wanted to bring a high caliber experience to anyone who might otherwise feel unwelcome or like they don’t fit in at most modern cocktail bars. Some people don’t find the idea of sitting in a dark room and watching a “mixologist” in a fancy apron stroke his mustache and his ego simultaneously appealing. Everyone deserves a place to have an amazing drink.”
Though the bar focuses on “breaking down the ivory tower that is the upscale cocktail bar,” they maintain a top-notch staff featuring award-winning bartender Brian Miller (Death & Co., Pegu Club, The Polynesian).
The cocktail menu prides itself on a blunt presentation with highlights like The Lullaby (named after the bar) made with a blend of sherry, amaro, and arrope, The Whiskey Drink featuring Abasolo Mexican Corn Whiskey, oloroso sherry, mascarpone, parsley, and lime, The House Punch and what we’re most excited for, The Dole Whip, making Disney’s iconic Dole Whip Soft Serve a bit more exciting!
This creation will take a spin on Disney’s fan-favorite treat by boozing up the pineapple soft-serve in NYC’s classic “We Are Happy to Serve You” cups.
All cocktails will remain in the $10-15 range and $5-7 for beers. Bar goers can order their “midnight snacks” that include a variety of Tapas bar bites. Lullaby is also making sustainable history by becoming the first and only bar in NYC to exclusively carry biodynamic and organic wines transported by a cargo sailboat.
The 40-seat space has been outfitted with work from local artists, custom furniture, and a black granite bar top.
Lullaby is even providing disposable film cameras (thanks to local camera company Manual) for bar-goers to take all their cute pics with throughout the night. On their next visit they can pick up the developed photos!
With so much to do and to drink, a night at Lullaby will surely put you to sleep after all the fun you’ll have. Find out more at their website here.
