Manhattan’s top taqueria chain Los Tacos No. 1 has been feeding NYers tasty tacos for a decade now, and pretty soon we’ll get to enjoy their bites in FiDi as they move into a brand new 3,009 square-foot location, as reported by What Now NY.
The popular chain began sharing their authentic Mexican dishes–all of which come from family recipes–in Chelsea back in 2013.
The eatery, which was started by three close friends (Tyler Sanders, Christian Pineda, and Kyle Cameron) hailing from Tijuana, Mexico and Brawley, California, spreads open-air dining and true Mexican culture and flavor across five locations throughout Manhattan.
And all we can say is we think a sixth location is wholly deserved.

Their menu is kept very simple due to the idea that it’s better to do one thing well than to do multiple things unwell. A small selection of chicken, pork, beef, and veggie (grilled cactus) tacos, tostadas, and quesadillas make up their menu (our suggestion: order one of each!).
Salsa, guacamole, Mexican sodas, and aguas frescas also can be ordered to make your meal complete.
Los Tacos No. 1 will open in FiDi at 20 Broad Street. The exact opening date is currently unknown, though their Instagram states they’ll be opening this summer, along with a location in Penn Station.

In addition to Los Tacos No. 1, Sanders, Pineda, and Cameron also operate NYC’s seafood restaurant Los Mariscos along with El Donkey, the Chelsea Market breakfast burrito go-to.
