Serving sandwiches, rotisserie chicken and other Peruvian fare, lunch (or dinner) time just got a bit more exciting.
For having opened just last month, Llamita has quickly become a West Village hot spot. Offering Peruvian concept sandwiches and other quick serve delights, this concept restaurant is definitely something to try.
Highlights of the menu are their Sanguches or sandwiches which run between $13 and $20. Options include their Pork Shoulder Sandwich with sweet potato, salsa criolla and rocoto cream, as well as the Duck Sausage Sandwich with cilantro and chimichurri sauce (umm, YUM) among others.
The 14-seat counter-service restaurant also features a small retail space, offering prepared foods as well as books, t-shirts, and cups with Peruvian slants.
Llama Inn, the original of the Llama restaurants opened in Williamsburg in 2015 and is a bit more formal- and a bit more expensive but is also objectively, worth the trip.
Llamita also offers delivery and catering options. Great for when you feel like hosting without doing the work.
