High-end, indoor pickleball courts are headed to Hell’s Kitchen this month.
Located at Life Time Sky, two new pickleball courts will take shape on the street-level space in The Moinian Group’s luxury residences.
Active New Yorkers will have the opportunity to participate in open hours, tournaments, classes and more at the new pickleball courts.
In addition to the new courts, Life Time Sky will open dedicated Alpha space for a metabolic and strength conditioning training program.
Both new amenities add to the club’s 70,000-square-foot space, already home to studios for barre, cycle, HIIT, Pilates and Yoga classes, an indoor lap pool, rooftop beach club and Turkish Hammam suite.
“I could not be more excited to bring pickleball to our Sky location, which is renowned for the epic games on our basketball court, incredible boutique-style classes and rooftop beach club experience. Adding pickleball and dedicated Alpha training space elevates our Life Time offerings for members as we continue expanding our footprint throughout the city,” said Bahram Akradi, Life Time’s Founder, Chairman and CEO.
Life Time is the nation’s largest owner and operator of pickleball courts across its athletic centers, totaling to more than 400 permanent courts with the two new ones coming to Manhattan’s Life Time Sky.
The company has been constructing permanent pickleball courts at a rate of five a week across their locations since last summer. Most of these courts include viewing areas, stadium seating, and social lounges. By the end of the year, Life Time expects to have more than 600 courts established throughout their clubs.
