Often referred to as one of the best bars in the world, Licorería Limantour has been a must-visit spot in Mexico City for the last decade, but pretty soon New Yorkers won’t have to hop on a plane to get a taste of this boozy go-to.
Instead, they’ll simply have to head over to Williamsburg’s Fandi Mata, as Licorería Limantour will be popping up in Little Oaxaca, the restaurant’s upstairs mezcal concept bar, for a can’t miss two-night-only residency.
Offering a constantly evolving menu, Limantour serves innovative and balanced cocktails inspired by modern Mexican culture.
Helmed by the bar’s team of expert mixologists led by Eduardo Nava and Daniel Gonzalez, Licorería Limantour will serve a harvest-inspired menu titled “De ida y vuelta” (“back and forward”).
Highlighting ingredients from the soil of Oaxaca, guests can expect to sip on creative cocktails while enjoying Little Oaxaca’s signature bar bites.
Licorería Limantour has received outstanding awards such as “Best International High Volume Cocktail Bar” in 2020 and “Best International Bar Team” in 2019. It also has been on the coveted “List of the 50 Best Bars in the World” since 2015.
The CDMX hot spot will shake up NYC’s cocktail scene on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1 from 6p.m. to 12a.m.
One thing’s for certain–if you like tequila and Mexican fare, this one’s for you! Learn more at Fandi Mata’s website here.
