Dropkick Murphys are bringing St Patrick’s Day to a sofa near you!
Mass gatherings are being cancelled all over the globe due to the coronavirus outbreak, and Boston’s St Patrick’s Day celebration is no exception. Unfortunately, that means the legendary Celtic punk band, Dropkick Murphys, aren’t able to make their annual St Paddy’s Day concert for the first time in 24 years.

But the show must go on! Dropkick Murphys are organising a live stream of the concert on social media, bringing the celebrations right to your living room. So, instead of nobody catching the gig this year, they’re performing it to everybody around the world. I hope you’ve all preemptively stocked up on Guinness! I’ll be repping my Irish green jammies, for sure.
The statement reads:
“Hey everyone! We hope you and your families are doing well during this trying time… For the first time in 24 years, we are not playing on St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
The current world situation is the ONLY thing that would ever stop us from doing so… So we came up with an idea we’re going to pull off this Tuesday – the night of St. Patrick’s Day… We’re going to bring a DKM LIVESTREAM CONCERT to EVERYONE – ALL OVER THE WORLD!! You’ll be able to watch it on our YouTube, Instagram and on Facebook Live…
