The quaint, narrow book store on the Upper West Side made famous by several movies, is set to close next month.
Westsider Rare & Used Books refers to itself as “the last used book store on the Upper West Side,” which specializes “in fiction $ literature, modern first editions, art, illustrated books, graphic design, children’s books, architecture, antiques and collectives, Asian, African American, Rock & Roll LPs and CDs.”
The 35-year-old shop at 2246 Broadway announced on their Facebook page that as of Tuesday, January 15, everything in the store will be on sale. It reads:
“Store closing SALE! Everything Must Go! Everything 30% off.”
However, their record store on West 72nd Street will remain open.
While no exact day has been mentioned yet, the store is expected to close by the end of February.
