The Cliffs at Dumbo are back and ready to rock for a fourth season, but this time as the Dumbo Boulders!
Right under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn Bridge Park, this outdoor climbing gym boasts spectacular city views. The Cliffs is the largest outdoor climbing gym in the country with a climbable surface area that spans about 4,886-square-feet.
The bouldering area is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. during the weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays (assuming weather permits). The space is designed with various “tracks and challenges” that can accommodate the most novice climbers as well as those with plenty of experience, and all skill levels in between. Day passes to the boulders begin at $11, with rental shoes for climbing included in that price. For those who need some help their first time around there is also an introductory class for $25 that includes climbing time after the session.
Where: 99 Plymouth Street, under Manhattan Bridge
Hours: Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
