L10 Arts and Cultural Center is bringing Brooklyn culture to life.
The newly-opened 65,000 square-foot space is a giant facility that houses space for multiple institutions: three new cinemas for BAM, the Brooklyn Public Library’s first branch dedicated to arts and culture, a gallery, café, and performance space for the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA), and lastly, 651 ARTS‘ first performance space.
“The L10 Arts and Culture Center honors this community’s cultural heritage and will nurture the next generation of world-changing artists in Brooklyn and across the five boroughs,” said NYCEDC President and CEO, Andrew Kimball. “The 65,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art space showcases New York City’s commitment to arts and culture.”
Whether you’re interested in exploring new exhibits, attending lectures, or taking in films, L10 Arts and Cultural Center, which was made possible by an $84 City fund, will surely cleanse your artistic palette. Meant to be a welcoming and inclusive space, L10 Arts and Cultural Center invites artists, students, and educators to play around with their medium and dig deep into areas they love.

Gina Duncan, President of Brooklyn Academy of Music, said, “Our space, BAM KBH, will allow us to expand our film and education offerings so we can better serve our local community, while our first-ever public archive space will give visitors the chance to connect with more than 160 years of historical events that took place right here in Brooklyn.”
We’re certainly looking forward to adding events to our bucket list — and making use of the outdoor facility for performances, events, and beyond once the weather gets warm. (And we’re due for an early spring, after all.)
While waiting for the L10 events calendar, be sure to take a look at our favorite NYC museum and art galleries in the meantime that are equally worthy of your time.
