Quentin Tarantino’s cult classics come to life at the new Williamsburg bar which gets its name from the Kill Bill films—KillBar.
“Gentlemen, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.” – Django Unchained
The bar is fully dedicated to all things Tarantino, from cocktail names to massive paintings depicting some of his best works lining the space. The most noteworthy homage at the bar takes form as a large six-foot Uma Thurman painting behind the bar, in her Kill Bill character’s iconic yellow jumpsuit.
There are also nods to Tarantino’s other films throughout the bar, like a life-sized oil painting of Jamie Foxx on a horse from the Django Unchained film against the wall and the bar top is inspired by Inglorious Bastards. The art in the 2,000-square-foot space was created by creative director Amar Stewart.
According to a report by Patch, the bar will even offer Monday movie nights. The bar’s fare will include items such as Hateful Eight chicken wings, Death Proof chili, and Kill Switch burgers; while cocktails will have names such as Tarantino iced tea, Bloody Bride mojito, and KillBar Moscow mules.
KillBar, located at 82 South 4th Street, can seat up to 41 people and will be open from 12 p.m. to 4 a.m. daily. This will be their grand opening weekend with surprises in store for guests from Thursday (Jan. 31) through Saturday (Feb. 2) from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m.
