You can now chow down on the best pastrami sandwich in New York City while seated outside.
The legendary Katz’s Deli, which has been an NYC icon since 1888, just opened an outdoor dining option for the first time in its 132-year history. Like most old-school NYC businesses (well, most NYC businesses in general), Katz’s Deli has taken a hard hit in business since COVID-19.
It had been offering city takeout and delivery and nation-wide shipping of its classic pastrami, corned beef, and brisket sandwiches, as well as its soups and salads…but now you can actually dine there in-person again!
Tables and chairs wrap around both sides of the iconic deli, on the sidewalks of East Houston and Ludlow St. under that iconic Katz’s deli signage.
Current hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 10:45pm and Saturday – Sunday: 8am – 11pm. Katz’s is located at 205 East Houston Street.
