The Full Moon Fest is quickly becoming one of the city’s favorite traditions. It happens every summer between July and August during a full moon. This year it falls on Saturday, July 8, and it’s going to be the biggest and best yet.
Full Moon Fest is a boutique approach to a New York City music festival. Imagine, if you will, a waterfront party across an open field on governors island with a worldly cultural sensibility and a big helping of New York swagger. You’re getting somewhere close to the true spirit of this festival, so much so, The New Yorker once described it as:
Somewhere between dance party and music festival and reminiscent of full-moon celebrations in Thailand (but with a panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline)
Full Moon Fest is a once in a lifetime experience. Dozens of artists, cultural icons, culinary divines, and musicians storm the beaches of Governors Island to creating something of a multicultural melting pot party that is unparalleled on the East Coast.
Kick back and enjoy great music and food while you take in breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline from the Governor’s Island shore. You’ll join 10,000 other guests over two days filled with curated music, an international food area with some of the city’s best culinary partners, art installations and more all spread across the island. Tickets will sell out, so get ’em fast!
We have the hookup for access to the full festival, including round-trip ferry transportation to Governors Island for $40!
