There’s no better time than now to start planning your summer getaways, and, just in time, JetBlue has entered the chat.
JetBlue is making travel much easier this season with the reveal of their brand new summer flight schedule, which will offer nonstop flights for travelers looking to keep their vacation plans on the east coast.
“As we prepare for the summer travel season, we are introducing more choices for our customers in the Northeast with the addition of new alternatives for customers traveling between New York and the fabulous destinations of Washington DC, Martha’s Vineyard and Charleston,” said David Jehn, vice president, network planning and partnerships, JetBlue.
Beginning Thursday, June 15, daily flights between JFK and Washington’s Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) will be offered, with departure times from JFK at 7a.m., 1:15p.m., and 7:15p.m. and return flights departing from DCA at 6:30a.m., 2:10p.m., and 5p.m.
Looks like that means it’s the perfect time to pay our friends over in D.C. a visit!
The airline will also add flights between Westchester County Airport (HPN) and Martha’s Vineyard (MVY), and between Westchester and Charleston, S.C. (CHS), both beginning Thursday, May 25. Flights depart at 3:45 p.m. and 11:59 a.m. respectively.
“As a very frequent flyer…I am excited to see new low fare competition on this route,” said Congressman Gregory Meeks. “JetBlue has been part of our community in Queens, New York, and JFK for more than 23 years, setting the bar on low fares and customer service.”
Seats on these new flights start as low as $59. These flights offer an alternative for travelers in an area that has historically been dominated by high-fare legacy carriers, making it much easier and cheaper to embark on a quick summer getaway.
