There’s truly nothing like spending your time before a flight in an airport lounge: those plush cushions, unlimited food, and endless outlet access. So whether you’re a frequent flyer, pay for priority pass, have a credit card that grants you access or a very kind friend who lets you join as their guest, entering into an airport lounge truly feels like the ultimate VIP treatment. And soon, fliers of JetBlue will get to experience its first ever airport lounge coming to JFK’s Terminal 5 on December 18th.
In part of JetBlue’s ‘JetForward’ strategy, the new airport lounge will cater to the demand for more premium offerings. Entry will be a signature perk for its loyal customers and credit card members, such as Transatlantic Mint customers, TrueBlue Mosaic members and a new premium credit card that’s coming soon.

The new lounge will stretch across 8,000 square feet, featuring JetBlue’s signature blue brand elements. Guests can expect a full-service bar, fast Wi-Fi, private workspaces, barista-made coffee bar beverages, complimentary food and drink, along with comfortable seating.
Described as a “love letter to New York City,” by Stephanie Evans Greene, senior vice president of marketing and brand at JetBlue, the space blends local flavor with creative flair. Books from the iconic Strand invite leisurely browsing, while walls showcase city-inspired art—from works by New York artists and a local cartoonist to a piece made entirely from retired MetroCards and three crafted by JetBlue crew members. Near the entrance, a “just ask” desk and a wall of mailboxes, echoing classic prewar apartments, let visitors request a key from any on-site crew member, adding a playful, personalized touch to the experience.
At the heart of the lounge, a ceiling mural echoes Grand Central’s iconic blue-and-gold zodiac design. Nearby, a gaming area invites fun with JetBlue-branded cards, chess, and backgammon, while cozy couches let guests relax before their flight. A photo booth adds playful flair—and soon, two airplane seats will provide a perfect backdrop for snapshots.

The lounge’s food and drink pay homage to New York’s flavors. While a full kitchen is coming in late 2026, fresh, daily-prepared cold offerings from Union Square Events include bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, pastrami on rye, bagels, salads, matcha chia puddings, and crudité. Coffee from Joe Coffee, specialty chai and matcha by Dona, and cocktails curated by iconic NYC bars like Please Don’t Tell and The Greats of Craft complete the city-inspired menu.

JFK Airport makes sense for the airline’s first-ever lounge, as JetBlue is New York’s Hometown Airline; however, a second lounge from JetBlue will arrive at Boston Logan International Airport shortly following to continue JetBlue’s mission of creating the best leisure network along the East Coast.

Customers have asked for a JetBlue lounge for years and we can’t wait to unveil our take in New York and Boston,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue. “Lounges have become an essential offering for the growing numbers of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue’s lounges will further boost the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program as we expand our portfolio of JetBlue credit cards.
