With New York Fashion Week right on our heels, Kith made a surprising collection announcement on September 6th with NYC icon, Jerry Seinfeld, as the face of their new campaign.
Kith is a multifunctional lifestyle brand and retail shop for all ages and genders. Founder and Queens native, Ronnie Fieg, opened NYC’s very first Kith in 2011. With a background in the footwear industry, Fieg created Kith as “an extension of himself” and to “shift the current landscape of fashion,” states the Kith website. You may also know the brand name from popular cereal bar, Kith Treats, that opened up in 2015, in pursuit of a childhood dream.
Kith now works with a diverse range of brands, alongside selling its own in-house label. Over the years, NYC has made an integral influence on the company’s collections as previous drops have called attention the movie Goodfellas, musician MA$E, and now comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
However, brand admirers were still a bit shocked when they first saw Jerry Seinfeld posing in the latest fall Kith collection. Sure, Jerry Seinfeld has been making New Yorkers laugh for decades, but does Kith now have us crushing on him too? With the wave of approval following the campaigns announcement, everyone seems to be swooning!
The collection features original apparel and accessories, in addition to items sporting Brooklyn College and Queens College (Jerry Seinfeld’s alma mater) that were developed with Russell Athletic for The City University of New York (CUNY)
The collection officially goes live Friday, September 9th. Find out more on their website here.
