For years, the annual Jazz Age Lawn Party has attracted New York City’s most diverse crowds. Come summertime, like a seasonal migration, thousands of people take the ferry over to Governor’s Island to party like it’s 1920. The Jazz Age Lawn party is now returning in June for its 18th edition, bringing two-weekends worth of nostalgia to NYC. Slip on your pearls, secure your bow ties and meet us at the time-traveling festival on June 10 – 11 and August 12 – 13!
The Jazz Age Lawn Party will only take place from June 10–11 and August 12–13, 2023. Get your tickets for the limited event!
Starting at 11am, the unique festival will transport you to one of the most memorable time periods in American history. A decade of change and growth, the roaring ’20s were characterized by extravagant outfits and decadent parties. Hollywood, flappers, and funky jazz were on the rise — much to the benefit of people like Gatsby who loved to throw lavish gatherings.
The annual Jazz Age Lawn is a unique, interactive opportunity to relive this formative epoch. A sprawling dance floor, dedicated dance lessons, a pop-up beer garden, retro photo booths and a vintage motor car exhibition await at Governors Island, in addition to carnival games and the fan-favorite crockett. You’ll get to delight in refreshing summer cocktails throughout the day, from a spritz to everything in between.
Not forgetting, of course, fantastic musical numbers by Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra and Queen Esther — among other special guests.
There will be plenty of food to keep you going all day, as the Jazz Age Lawn Party features some of NYC’s best food trucks. Whether you’re on the salty or sweet side, the trucks offer a variety of treats and snacks that will surely do the trick.
Tickets have just been released, and they start at $45 for general admission!
