For years, the annual Jazz Age Lawn Party has attracted all walks of life in NYC! So slip on your pearls and adjust that bow tie as you meet up for this time-traveling festival this weekend August 9th – 10th!
The Jazz Age Lawn party has returned for its 20th edition, bringing its final weekend end summer right. Come summertime, like a seasonal migration, thousands of people take the ferry over to Governor’s Island to party like it’s 1920!
Starting at 11am, this nostalgic and notable experience will transport you to a time period in American history with such a substantial societal and economic change. The roaring ’20s were characterized by extravagant outfits and decadent parties. Hollywood, flappers, and funky jazz were on the rise. Cut a rug from the morning til sundown!
The annual Jazz Age Lawn Party is a unique, interactive opportunity to re-invent this transformative time. A sprawling dance floor, dedicated dance lessons, market to shop, beer garden, retro photo booths all await at Governors Island.
In addition to carnival games and the fan-favorite Croquet. You’ll get to delight in refreshing summer cocktails throughout the day, from a spritz to everything in between.
There will be plenty of food to keep you going all day, as the Jazz Age Lawn Party features some of NYC’s best food trucks. Whether you’re on the salty or sweet side, the trucks offer a variety of treats and snacks that will surely do the trick.
