Jaeger-LeCoultre is bringing their exhibition to Manhattan to showcase their Reverso timepieces. The high-end brand is also pairing up with French pastry chef Nina Metayer once again for the The Reverso 1931 Café which is part of the exhibit. From November 3rd to 22nd, IRON 23 will be home to this decadent experience.
The exhibit of ‘Reverso Stories’ was originally created in 2021 to mark the 90th anniversary of the legacy of the Reverso watch. Now, in 2023 the exhibition’s world tour is going strong as it comes to Manhattan!
The year’s experience will showcase an immersive digital art installation by Korean artist Yiyun Kang. This space will show a video series ‘In the Making’, which highlights notable Japanese artist Hokusa, whose works have been reproduced on Reverso timepieces.
The ‘Reverso Stories’ has so many different spaces to explore and it truly is an homage to time and timeless pieces. The exhibition arrives just ahead of the grand opening of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s new flagship boutique on Madison Avenue which will take place in Spring 2024!
Inside the exhibit, you’ll find the Reverso 1931 Café which pays homage to the Reverso watch. The piece was created in 1931 and is representative of iconic art deco design, a style popular in the 1930s for its polished geometric patterns.
Parisian pastry chef Nina Metayer and her creations will be featured in the cafe! Metayer is part of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s “Made of Makers” series which highlights and teams up with chefs, artists, designers, mixologists and more for different projects.
Bringing art and science together, the scrumptious pastries are inspired by the principles of the mathematical concept of the Golden Ratio. Métayer has designed sweet treats that represent a connecting art deco style to the notable Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces.
Luxury will surround all of your senses at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s exhibit! There will also be a hands-on watchmaking ‘Discovery Workshops’ within the Atelier d’Antoine space. The exhibition will be on 29 W 23rd St at IRON 23. Don’t miss it throughout Nov. 3rd-22nd!
