New Yorkers, your next favorite wine discovery is waiting just around the corner. From October 12–25, Italian Wine Week, brought to you by the Italian Trade Agency, is bringing the flavors and traditions of Italy’s historic wine regions to neighborhoods across the city, with more than 100 participating wine shops.
Italian Wine Week is every wine lover’s excuse to try something new

Promoted by the Italian Trade Agency, the citywide celebration gives wine lovers a chance to explore Italian wines while supporting local retailers. There’s no one-size-fits-all experience here: participating shops will offer their own curated selections and regional wine cases, so every stop can bring something different to your experience.
As Erica Di Giovancarlo, Trade Commissioner & Executive Director for the USA, put it, Italian wine is “a cornerstone of New York’s vibrant culinary culture.” During Italian Wine Week, consumers can explore that variety at participating wine shops through special discounts and unique tastings.

It’s also a great excuse to venture beyond your usual bottle. Pick up an Etna Rosso from Sicily, try a crisp Vermentino from Liguria, discover Fiano from Campania or explore a Nebbiolo from Piedmont. You might even stumble across a grape or region you’ve never tried before, making you feel as if you’ve traveled to Italy without leaving NYC.

The celebration takes place alongside Vinitaly USA at Pier 36 on October 26–27, but while that industry event is reserved for trade and press, Italian Wine Week is open to absolutely everyone. Think of it as your exclusive invitation to explore Italy’s diverse wine culture right in your own neighborhood.
