Comedian and “Broad City” star Hannibal Buress is set to revive one of Williamsburg’s favorite comedy clubs and turn it into his very own.
Isola Brooklyn, a brand new comedy venue, is set to debut on March 9th in Brooklyn, taking space in the former Kniting Factory.
The previous venue was forced to shutter its doors back in 2022 after a massive spike increase in rent of 75%. Full circle enough, Buress played the very last show there just 3 years ago.
Isola is set to bring back Buress’ weekly stand-up series he hosted at Knitting Factory since 2019, welcoming comedians each week starting on March 16th.
There’s also plans to expand beyond comedy, hosting a series called Eshu Tuesdays which will focus on performances, DJs, and other forms of art.
Opening night for the venue is slated for March 9th, with an already sold out show on the calendar featuring the man himself Buress and “very special guests.”
