Internet sensation, Turkish chef and restaurant co-owner, Nusret Gökçe, will open new open a new branch of his restaurant, Nusr-et, in Midtown.
The steakhouse will be a combination of Gökçe’s signature butcher shop upfront, with an open kitchen dining area.
Nusr-et in NYC is due to open in the city in September, but there has been some confusion as to where. The NY Post reported that it will take over the space currently occupied by China Grill, at 60 W. 53rd Street in the CBS building. However Eater confirmed that the location of Nusr-et steakhouse may not be exactly correct when they followed up with a spokesperson from China Grill.

Nusret Gökçe, is a chef and restaurant co-owner who was given the nickname “Salt Bae” because of his signature sexy salting skills. The Salt Bae’s sensual appreciation for a huge chunk of meat has garnered the chef more than just a little …*ahem* …attention.

What else to say about this ponytailed chef with a penchant for black vests worn over white tees? He owns the Nusr-Et Steakhouse restaurants in Turkey and Dubai and is set to expand into London, and as we mentioned above, Manhattan. It also may come as no surprise that Salt Bae nine, yes nine, children.
