It seems like today everyone has a (very loud) opinion about everything, art included. The Armory Show at Piers 92 and 94 is an international exhibit of the most important art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Be sure to check it out and bring your opinion with you as some of the work at the show will surely be thought-provoking and controversial.
According to the Armory Show website, the four-day-long international show is New York City’s premier art fair and a leading cultural destination for discovering and collecting the world’s most important contemporary art. The show will feature presentations by 198 leading international galleries, innovative artist commissions and dynamic public programs. Since it was founded in 1994, “the Armory Show has served as a nexus for the art world, inspiring dialogue, discovery and patronage in the visual arts.”
Annually, the show welcomes about 65,000 visitors to the event in the heart of New York City. The show offers a robust look at contemporary art and is a must see for all types of art lovers. The event will take place March 8th through 11th.
