This Interactive Map Shows Where The Refugees In NYC Come From

Immigration has become somewhat of a decisive topic over the last week. It has been firmly on the tip of the nations tongue since President Donald Trump signed an executive order restricting entry to the US for refugees and immigrants from seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, Sudan, Libya and Syria (all of which have a predominantly Muslim population).

We’re not going to get involved in rhetoric of hyperbole here, just point you towards an interesting map by the good people at DNAinfo.

The interactive map showing shows where people who moved to NYC from other parts of the world came from, between the years 2002 and 2017 (so far).

Check out the map HERE.
