Artist Alexa Meade wants you to actually become part of her paintings, which is why she is bringing her mesmerizing art exhibition “Immersed in Wonderland” to NYC this spring.
The amazing artist paints both people and three dimensional spaces in order to “create the illusion that our reality is a two-dimensional painting.” She’ll be doing just that by painting 14,000 square feet of space in Midtown to mimic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Each room will have a different theme—from a Rabbit Hole obstacle course to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to the Cheshire Cat’s psychedelic lair. As you stroll through the space, you can wear hand-painted outfits so you’ll truly look and feel like you’re a part of the painting itself.
Only photos can really do that description justice, so you’ll just have to take a look at how magical it really is!
The installation opens March 13. They are also partnering with the nearby Rosé Mansion to create a Mad Tea Party-themed bar with cocktails served in teacups and over-the-top Frosés, so you know what you’re doing afterwards!
