If there was any lingering doubt that the newly opened Pacha New York has officially seized the crown of NYC nightlife, this past weekend put it to rest.
Over two back-to-back, sold-out nights, Brooklyn didn’t just host a party—it became an absolute epicenter of global club culture and high-profile celebrity sightings.
The occasion? A highly anticipated weekender headlined by the meteoric Dutch duo ANOTR.
But while the music on the main floor was a masterclass in rhythm, the energy in the room was dialed up to an eleven thanks to a VIP guest list that looked more like an upcoming festival lineup or a Met Gala afterparty.
A star-studded Brooklyn oasis
Stepping under Pacha’s iconic cherry logo this weekend meant rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in music, fashion, and culture.
Spotted deep in the VIP sections across Friday and Saturday were hip-hop heavyweight Travis Scott and pop icon Lizzo, soaking in the sounds alongside Grammy-winning producer Kaytranada and rapper Rich the Kid.
The star power didn’t stop there, either.
The dancefloor drew a hyper-curated crowd of tastemakers, actors, and internet royalty, including actor Nico Hiraga, model Gigi Paris, and digital powerhouses Ashtin Earle and Bernice Burgos.
From fashion insiders like Anaa Saber and Jan Quammie to nightlife fixtures like Tim Chung and Starino, it felt as though every corner of the cultural zeitgeist had converged on Brooklyn for forty-eight hours.
Bringing Ibiza to New York
What drew such an elite crowd wasn’t just the allure of a new venue, but the reputation of the men behind the decks.
ANOTR (Jesse van der Heijden and Oguzhan Guney) have spent the last few years cementing themselves as dance music’s most in-demand innovators.
True to form, the duo delivered marathon sets that seamlessly blurred the lines between classic house, sun-drenched disco, deep soul, and infectious, rolling grooves.
For two straight nights, they effectively transformed the Brooklyn venue into a direct extension of Ibiza, capturing the exact high-energy, free-spirited essence that has defined the Pacha brand globally for over five decades.
Especially with their new album Withness a little only a month old, the duo electrified the crowd over the course of three hours each night playing out new records like “It’s So Nice,” “Like It,” and “Hold On, Let Go.”
The energy hit a fever pitch when album and recent collaborators hit the stage for brief moments, including the collective 54 Ultra, vocalists behind viral track “Talk To You” and Emily Warren, the voice behind the newly released and highly popular ID “Silver Lines” off Circoloco Records.
Having everyone together in the same room (and DJ booth) that contributed to ANOTR’s newest era really felt more like a celebration than a concert. It was special.
The verdict: Pacha New York has arrived & is the place to be seen
For a venue still navigating its inaugural season, this weekend was a definitive statement of intent.
Even beyond last weekend’s sold out show, the venue has already established its name as a place to be seen.
In just a month’s time, the likes of Pete Davidson, Travis Scott, Quavo, Luka Sabbat, Saweetie, Ava Max, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Hayley Kalil, and so many more have stopped by to check it out.
And with a whole season still to go, we’re intrigued to see who else is on the way, but it’s safe to say it is the heart and soul of Brooklyn dance music right now.
Next weekend, the venue is set to play host to elrow’s “Dance with the Serpent.”
Spanning two nights, the globally renowned, mind-bendingly immersive party experience promises larger-than-life production, theatrical spectacle, and another guaranteed weekend of musical escapism.
