Record Store Day is nearly here, NYC! In an era that lives in the cloud, the pull of something you can hold, flip, drop, and feel has only grown stronger.
And here in New York, access to music in it’s many forms is everywhere, especially this weekend.
On Saturday, April 18th, iNDIEPLAZA returns for its fifth year. The festival is an all-day, sun-up-to-sunset celebration anchored in Record Store Day culture and curated by Rough Trade.
Free and open to the public, it transforms 30 Rock into something between a street fair, a listening room, and a living archive of independent music.
Guests can reserve tickets here! The 2026 Lineup
The performances kick off at noon on the Plaza with an all-day, stacked lineup:

- Live Acts: Incendiary, Hotline TNT, Momma (Duo), Winter, Friko, Nuovo Testamento, and Weird Nightmare.
- DJ Sets: Between sets, keep the rhythm going with sounds from Avalon Emerson, Soul In The Horn, and Saint Virgil.
Guests can enjoy curated food and beverage options from some of the city’s most beloved vendors, located throughout the Center:
- Ace’s Pizza & FIELDTRIP

- Lil Sweet Treat and more.

The Legacy of Rough Trade
Founded in West London in 1976 by Geoff Travis, Rough Trade began as a small shop on the doorstep of the punk revolution.
Rough Trade eventually spawned the legendary record label that signed icons like The Smiths, The Libertines, and The Strokes.
While the shop and the label are now independent entities, its DIY ethos remains. After moving from Brooklyn to its iconic home at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in 2021, Rough Trade has bridged the gap between underground cool and one of New York’s most historic landmarks. iNDIEPLAZA launched in 2022 to celebrate that very bridge.
It serves as a homecoming for vinyl enthusiasts, timing perfectly with Record Store Day, the annual global event supporting independent record stores.
Record Store Day & Exclusive Vinyl
While the music on the Plaza is the heart of iNDIEPLAZA, the soul of the weekend is the hunt for physical media.
Record Store Day is a global salute to the culture of the independent record store, and Rough Trade at Rockefeller Center serves as the epicenter for the city’s most dedicated collectors.
