Music lovers’ favorite unofficial holiday Record Store Day is swooping back around on Saturday, April 12th and that means the return of iNDIEPLAZA!
Independent record store Rough Trade and Rockefeller Center are once again teaming up for the 4th year of the annual festival that celebrates independent music, minds, and merchandise.
The indie music festival will take over the entirety of the Rockefeller Center Plaza, including a stage with live performances, an artist merchandise booth, an arts & crafts booth, food and drinks, and more.
As for this year’s musical lineup, it will be headlined by Swedish rock icons The Hives and feature supporting sets from Scowl, the hardcore punk band from California, experimental hip-hop group Clipping., reggae/dub artist Pachyman, singer-songwriter Zsela, Chicago post-punk outfit Lifeguard, indie newcomers Slippers, and DJ sets from Chanel Beads, Yuno, and Confines + Ohaileigh (Saint Vitus).

Alongside the incredible live music, guests will be able to explore Rough Trade’s soon-to-be opened second location at Rockefeller Center called Rough Trade Below. The rink level storefront (which will accompany the already existing Rough Trade Above) will add 4,000 more square feet of additional space for record shopping and the store’s well-known exclusive performances, artist signings, and other events.
Food and beverage will also be available for purchase on the Plaza, where visitors can enjoy outdoor seating plus grab and go options from Rockefeller Center eateries, including Cool Sips, City Winery, Glace, La Maison du Chocolat, Puya Tacos de Puebla, and more.
Rough Trade opens for Record Store Day shopping at 9 am and live performances begin outdoors at 12 pm and run through 9 pm!
iNDIEPLAZA is completely FREE to check out and open to the public! Attendees are encouraged to RSVP for the festival here ahead of time.
