Here’s an idea for some winter fun, strip down to your underwear and run around a pier. No, we’re not nuts, this is actually going down in the city this week, and it’s for a great cause.
Cupid’s Undie Run is a yearly charity run where participants, with a penchant for baring flesh in freezing temperatures, hit the streets in dozens of cities to raise money and awareness for Children’s Tumor Foundation. Last year’s runs netted over $3.5 million for the foundation.
Just to stay your fears of frost-bite in your “extrmities,” the run only lasts around a mile, and *ahem* guy’s… you can always blame the cold for any… inadequacies.
The fun starts at Stage 48 (605 W 48th St) where runners will begin the one-mile route around Pier 84. Once completed, participants return to Stage 48 for the after-party where the highest fundraisers will be treated to an open bar.
Cupid’s Undie Run beings at noon on Saturday, Feb 18, 2017 at 2 pm with an awards ceremony for the highest fundraisers starting just before at 1 pm.
Registration for Cupid’s Undie Run costs $25 and you can register HERE.
