Whether you’re looking to spruce up your Instagram feed or simply just stop and smell the roses, you’re in luck–these stunning wildflower fields are only a 2 hour drive from NYC and make for the perfect summer day trip.
The fields, named Hudson Wildflower Co., were started by Krista Weed with hopes that they would bring her peace and happiness during a difficult season in her life, and it didn’t take long for her to realize her desire to bring people together by connecting through creativity and flowers.
Now, every year, visitors can take in beautiful, vibrant fields filled with endless rows of wildflowers, and it’s set to open for the 2024 spring season this July on Tuesday, July 9th!
The fields provide visitors with endless color, growing an assortment of zinnias, cosmos, amaranth, ageratum, celosia, and more. This year they’ll be growing the following:
- Zinnias

They also offer a 2024 flower picking subscription for those who plan to visit the field multiple times throughout the season. The subscription costs $150 and includes a bucket at the beginning of the season plus four refills.
