New Yorkers are all coming together to help fight coronavirus, and that includes hotels as well.
What started with the Four Seasons Hotel on 57th Street, has expanded to include many other NYC hotels. The Four Seasons is currently providing “FREE lodging to doctors, nurses & medical personnel currently working to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.” And now The Plaza, the St. Regis New York, Yotel, the Roommate Grace, and the Wythe Hotel are all contributing to the cause.
“Proud to see NY’s hotels stepping up!,” he shared via social media. “The Plaza Hotel, @StRegisNewYork and @YotelHQ will provide their facilities for non-critical care patients or medical personnel. @RoomMateGraceNY & @WytheHotel will offer free rooms to medical workers responding to COVID.”
In recent press conferences he also said the city has leased at least 20 additional hotels which they hope to add 10,000 more needed hospital beds. This is in addition to the field hospitals that are being constructed all over the city.
