Long before it became a place to scream through in the dark, 359 Broadway was where some of America’s most recognizable faces sat very, very still.
The Tribeca building, constructed in 1852, once housed the studio of pioneering Civil War photographer Matthew Brady.
Among the people photographed within its walls was President Abraham Lincoln, and Blood Manor says the portrait later used on the front of the $5 bill was taken here. These days, the only thing waiting patiently in the building’s shadows is probably not a camera.
NYC’s longtime Halloween institution Blood Manor is coming back for the 2026 season, turning the historic address into 10,000 square feet of themed rooms, narrow corridors, sudden frights, and genuinely committed scare actors.

Blood Manor
It’s a real downtown building with a real Civil War-era past, but the experience inside is all immersive theater, horror-movie chaos, and darkness that you have to bookmark for Halloween season.
A haunted house with a very strange past
Blood Manor leans fully into its location’s history.
Matthew Brady was one of the most influential photographers of the 19th century, known for documenting presidents, celebrities, and the Civil War. The attraction’s own lore imagines that strange happenings began after Brady returned to his former studio and found eerie details in photographs developed inside the third-floor rooms.
It is an invented ghost story rooted in a very real location, making the setting far creepier than a warehouse dressed up for October.
What awaits inside Blood Manor
The haunt covers 10,000 square feet of themed rooms and passageways, with visitors moving through a dark, disorienting series of environments designed to unsettle, surprise, and occasionally make people abandon all pretense of being brave.
Expect:
- Corridors that disappear into near-total darkness
- Elaborately costumed scare actors appearing from places that were absolutely empty one second ago
- Claustrophobic rooms, maze-like turns, eerie sounds, and horror set pieces
- A theatrical, walk-through experience that takes around 30 minutes at a normal pace, or roughly 20 minutes if your survival instincts take over
The official experience notes that Blood Manor is not recommended for children under 14. Guests under 14 who do attend must be accompanied by an adult, so this is best saved for older teens, seasoned Halloween fanatics, and anyone who finds joy in watching their bravest friend immediately change their mind.

What’s new in 2026
Blood Manor’s 2026 season brings several practical upgrades and special-night options to the dark side of downtown.
Tickets are now sold in one-hour arrival windows, giving guests more flexibility to arrive at any point within their selected hour rather than rushing to a narrower entry time. During the final two hours of each night, general-admission entry switches to first-come, first-served access.
There is also an R.I.P. Express option for those who prefer to spend less time waiting in line and more time being chased through nightmare fuel. The ticket grants priority access via a separate queue and can be used at any point during the night of the reservation, subject to availability.
For an even darker twist, Blood Manor is planning Lights Out Nights, where visitors journey through the attraction with only a glow stick and minimal lighting.
The 2026 calendar also includes a Student Night on opening night, with discounted general admission at the door for students who show a valid photo student ID.
Blood Manor 2026 dates and tickets
Blood Manor runs on select nights from October 2 through November 7, 2026, at 359 Broadway in Tribeca.
General admission currently begins at $50, while R.I.P. Express entry is listed from $75. Tickets can be purchased online today!
The haunt is just steps from Canal Street, served by the N, Q, R, J, Z, and 6 trains; Franklin Street on the 1 train is also nearby!
Because the attraction uses timed entry, booking in advance is the move, especially for October weekends and Halloween night.
The experience can take approximately 20 to 30 minutes, but the psychological recovery period after a scare actor hisses directly behind your shoulder is, regrettably, not included in the ticket price.
