Is there anything more perfect than spending a Sunday afternoon having a browse at a market? If you’re looking to find a new one, Grand Bazaar’s next event is purely dedicated to showcasing the handmade projects of the local community.
Grand Bazaar NYC holds several food, clothing, decor, beauty, etc. markets throughout the year, each with their own specific theme. Their main goal is to help out four public schools in the neighborhood (4,000 children) which they achieve by donating 100% of all the accumulated profits. The money in turn goes to supplying the children with various enrichment programs, books, supplies, teaching assistants, sports clubs and more.
The good news is that you can feel guilt free when shopping at the handmade market, because you know the money is going towards a good cause…yay! Have a look through some gorgeous bits n pieces (including jewellery, pottery, art and lots of food) from local artisans that you won’t find anywhere else.
