HAGS, the beloved queer-owned fine dining restaurant in the East Village, is officially bringing back its Pay-What-You-Can Farm Dinner Series for the summer.
Starting June 3, this intimate 18-seat spot is serving up a fresh, five-course tasting menu on a sliding scale.
A hyper-seasonal, market-driven menu
The five-course menu is entirely shaped by what James Beard-nominated Chef Telly Justice finds at the Union Square Greenmarket that morning.
The very first dinner just launched, and since the menu changes every single week, no two Wednesday dinners will be exactly the same.

You can always expect both vegan and omnivorous options. Chef Telly brings a high-touch approach to seasonal dishes, drawing beautiful inspiration from Southern potluck culture to build community.
Thoughtful pairings & inclusive vibes
While the food is pay-what-you-can (with a suggested price of $100), the beverage pairings are a fixed price. Tax is not included, and gratuity remains entirely optional.
Wine Director Camille Lindsley curates incredible selections, highlighting everything from bottle-aged Grenache by Black queer winemakers to unique non-alcoholic pairings.
The space itself, designed by Sarah Carpenter & Studio, features a bold green bar and an open pink kitchen. It is intentionally intimate, making you feel like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home.
How to get a seat
Reservations are limited to one per guest and are live on Resy right now. Grab a seat to experience one of the most collaborative and inclusive dinner tickets in NYC.

Can’t make it on a Wednesday? HAGS also offers a sliding scale, pay-what-you-can Sunday brunch every week, featuring standouts like Cornbread French Toast and a French-style Omelette.
