The beloved Asian grocery chain is planning to open their biggest food court in New York City to date in Long Island City, according to first reports by Eater.
The chain recently opened their Long Island City location back in 2022 after taking over the former space of a Stop & Shop. The massive new food court will be constructed within this store at 48-18 Northern Boulevard.
This will not be the first food court within an NYC H Mart, as the Flushing store along with the Bayside location both have one onsite. However, the size of Long Island city’s expected food court will be the largest of them all.
Traditionally, H Mart food courts offer a variety of Asian cuisines from various vendors. Food stalls within the Long Island City food court could open as early as April of this year, mentioned a spokesperson to Eater. Additional vendor expansion will occur come summertime.
Another food hall will open just across the river in New Jersey’s American Dream Mall H-Mart that opened its doors last February. It will be located on Court A, Level 1. Vendors will include Let Them Talk Bar, Jeong’s Noodle, Gold Miss, K-Town Hero, Sang, The Bao Express, Don Don Curry and more.
