If you’ve ever wanted to explore the twisting, turning levels of the beautiful Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, but the $25 entrance price deterred you, now is the time to visit!
While the Upper East Side museum is preparing for their next exhibit called Countryside, The Future (which will “present speculations about tomorrow through insights into the countryside today”), they are offering reduce admission, with almost $10 off for adult tickets.
From now through Tuesday, February 18, adult tickets are $16 (regularly $25), students with ID are $12 (regularly $18), and 65+ are $12 (regularly $18). Children and members are always free.
Regular prices will resume Thursday, February 20 and as always, every Saturday from 5–8 pm it is “pay what you wish” for admission (cash only).
Right now there are exhibits include: The Fullness of Color: 1960s Painting; Marking Time: Process in Minimal Abstraction; Guggenheim Collection: Brancusi (sculptures by Constantin Brancusi); the Thannhauser Collection (impressionist, post-impressionist, and modern French masterpieces) and more.
Hours are:
- Monday: 10am – 5:30pm
- Tuesday: 10am – 8pm (it will close at 5:30pm on Feb. 18)
- Wednesday: 10am – 5:30pm (it will be closed on Feb. 19)
- Thursday: 10am – 5:30pm
- Friday: 10am – 5:30pm
- Saturday: 10am – 8pm
- Sunday: 10am – 5:30pm
