Get ready to send your Letterboxd into overdrive–Greenpoint Film Festival, one of NYC’s most beloved summer traditions, is heading back to Brooklyn for its 14th year with its most daring lineup yet!
Launched in 2011, the Greenpoint Film Festival began with a clear mission in mind: to spotlight critically acclaimed, thought-provoking, and emerging filmmakers. For over a decade, it’s been amplifying underrepresented voices in the industry while uniting Brooklyn’s vibrant Greenpoint neighborhood in celebration of cinema.
Transforming the streets of Brooklyn into a global stage for groundbreaking cinema, 100+ films from all over the world will push boundaries with stories that challenge, enchant, and ignite conversation for the festival’s most daring lineup yet.

From Wednesday, August 6th through Sunday, August 10th, filmmakers, artists, and audiences will come together for five days of must-see premieres, provocative discussions, and unforgettable moments. The festival will kick off with Outrider, a documentary feature and the first feature-length portrait of Grammy-nominated, epic poet, performer, and activist Anne Waldman. Ravens, a narrative feature and hypnotic romance inspired by photographer Masahisa Fukase’s life will close out the festival.
The featured films range from as short as one minute, as in Jeremiah Dickey’s animation A Parable, to as long as 116 minutes, with Mark Gill’s narrative feature Ravens. Beyond the screenings, the film festival will also feature engaging panel discussions, filmmaker Q&As, and intensive hands-on workshops.
And it all goes down in Broadway Stages, an iconic Brooklyn venue and legendary hub for film and television production that’s hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment. For the full schedule of screenings and to snag tickets head to the festival’s website.
